Heart Glow CC Cream

As a horrible beginner in terms of using make up and only buying most of my products due to my weakness to cute packaging, it's no surprise that I was quickly attracted to the Heart Glow CC Cream from Peripera (a sub-brand(?) of Clio) and what's even better is that Naeun from APink is the current face of Peripera which makes things even more attracting!

(Please excuse the badly drawn hearts surrounding the CC Cream)

The Heart Glow CC Cream has a very very cute packaging with the cute colour of pink as their theme of course, hearts, as the name implies.

Nothing out of the ordinary (I think) but I am a bit confused as to why there is sea water in this. Also the ingredients was shown inside the box, which meant I had to open up the pretty box ;;

As for it's function, it claims that:

A perfect blend of skincare and makeup that gives skin a sheer tint of color for a healthy, natural glow. This color-correcting cream creates a natural glow while hydrating and instantly minimizes the looks pores, fine lines and imperfections. It provides ideal protection from the sun's harmful, damaging rays with broad spectrum SPF 30 UVB/UVA sunscreen. Perfect for wearing alone or under foundation and recommended for all skin types

I'm glad to say that most of the things claimed by the blurb is actually quite accurate! It's a nice CC Cream to wear alone and feels very light on the face. I really enjoyed this CC Cream with it's simple use and rather true claims (thank goodness it wasn't a lie).

Scent: A light peachy smell, not unpleasant at all and lingers for a short time when you put onto your face but fades away so to those who dislikes scents won't have to worry about it

Texture & Coverage: The texture is like many creams and it easily glides onto your face with a slight cooling feeling and the coverage is light but it does cover my pores (leaving them with a pink-ish color) and lighten my face just a bit (not to the point where I look like some sickly ghost).

Start --> Partially blended --> Blended (I do apologize for the blurry photo but it does blend very well)

Oil Control:

5 seconds --> 1 hour --> 5 hours

I wore this CC Cream to school (which lasts for 6 hours) as a test and it really didn't release as much oil as on the oil pact but that may be because my skin isn't very oily, so people with oily skin I suppose should check if this CC Cream fits their skin type (although it says it's perfect for all skin types so I'm not sure).

Well as a conclusion, I think this CC Cream is a very good one and is good for everyone. It has slight flaws here and there but overall it's a nice CC Cream for me

Pros:

  • Has a light texture (which is good because you won't feel like you're wearing anything)
  • Nice scent (can be a con)
  • Does what it states
  • Lasts a decent time (6 hours-ish)
  • Good oil control for people who will wear it for only an hour
Cons:
  • Quite sheer (for those who want better coverage, BB Cream may be a better option)
  • Scented (although quite light)
  • May not be suited for every skin type
  • May become oily after 5 hours
Hope you enjoyed this review! I do apologize as I am still rather lacking but I'll try my best to review better!
