Pinkicon Mini-Haul + Review

Hi! Today I'm here with a review of Pinkicon, a website that sells contact lenses. Although I'm not a frequent contact lenses user, I had bought some contact lenses in preparation for Halloween. Since I bought something, I thought it would be nice to share my thoughts on this site.

As usual, click click click read more to see the review!

Pinkicon is a store that is based in Hong Kong but also sells their contact lenses online. They have a good selection of lenses (with popular brands such as O-Lens, LIL Moon and Geo). An interesting thing about this site is that they have monthly deals where quite a few of their products go on sale for that month. It's definitely worth checking out what they have on sale!

As for what I bought, I placed an order on the 13/10/17 and after receiving an email about my order being delayed (which I'll get to later), my order arrived on the 27/10/17. So it took around 14 days for this package to arrive.

About the email, I actually received an email about my order in English with very little detail. I was really confused at first so then I replied with an email asking them to send me the message in Chinese and they sent a much more detailed email back in Chinese. I was lucky that I knew people that could translate the message for me and I would definitely say that if you're an English speaker there might be some troubles with communicating with Pinkicon.

The products arrived nicely with it being packed tightly in a bubble wrap bag. The package also came with my receipt and an instruction booklet on how to put on the lenses and how to remove them. Unfortunately I threw away the package a bit too quickly and by the time I fished it out the booklets were soaked in trash juice.

Here are the lenses I ordered! I got the Select Fairy Street Brown (Daily) and O-Lens The Shining Gray (1 month). These two were the ones that were on discount during October so I decided to try them out. I'll be writing a separate review for these.

For the costs of the lenses they were $27.80 USD together including a $4.62 USD shipping fee. So all together the lenses cost $32.42 USD, which isn't too expensive.

Final Comment: So in conclusion, Pinkicon is a good site if you're interested in buying good quality contact lenses for a decent price.  They also have other products offered (like wigs and fake lashes) but I'm not too sure about those. If I ever need contact lenses again I'd definitely go and buy from Pinkicon again.

Another interesting point to note is that on their website they have a "Beauty Channel" in which they summarize the videos of beauty YouTubers and introduce the contact lenses they use so you can also get the look too! I think that's really handy for those that are unsure of what lenses to buy for what types of looks.

Pros:
  • Decent prices
  • Decent shipping time
  • Good selection of lenses
  • Lenses come in good quality and are legitimate

Cons:
  • Customer service might be troublesome if you're not fluent in Chinese
  • Site is a bit laggy

  1. I haven't wore a contact lense in my entire life, but that store sounds nice, especially my mom lives in macau at the moment! maybe I'll be able to save some shipping costs (which is always a nightmare for me) 💖
